Summary of Job Duties:
The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist produces radiographic images for medical interpretation, interacts with all healthcare staff, many clerical staff members, all patient care departments and with patient's families and visitors. This position is held accountable for performing the correct radiologic exams and producing high quality images.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's - Graduate of an approved Radiology program
  • Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology
  • CPR certified
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS Degree
  • More than one (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology or a related field
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
  • Consists of performing optimal X-rays; must be able to lift 25lbs. or more
  • Rotates through several modalities, portables on the floors, surgery, fluoro, and the emergency department, performing X-rays, as well as coverage of diagnostic imaging at UAMS Health Specialty Center at Rodney Parham
  • Communicates with patients, patients' family members, co-workers, and physicians
  • Continues education and learning new procedures on a day-to-day basis.
  • Duties will include answering the phones and communicating with different floors in the hospital.
  • Moving C-ARM and OARM's
  • Other duties may be assigned to this position.
