Turf/Commercial/Governmental Account Manager

About the Position:
Department: Sales
Reports to: General Manager
Supervises: None
Purpose:
Main location Turf Sales and manage all Governmental/Commercial accounts in assigned counties
Responsibilities:
  • Work with the main location GM in selling turf and utility products for unassigned customers
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and Store Leads to achieve market share and Unit Budget goals

• Manages key market share Governmental and commercial accounts
• Assist in quoting all Governmental/commercial deals to ensure all discounts and costs are correct
• Present Financing solutions through John Deere Financial to Governmental/Commercial accounts which include Installment, Lease, and Revolving options
• Finalize or assist salesperson in finalizing all paperwork for each deal
• Research and promote programs that apply to this market
• Gather information from assigned AOR on deals won or lost to allow Gooseneck to be competitive in this market space
  • Identifies and manages all Governmental/Commercial accounts in assigned counties utilizing Salesforce

• Identify key contacts for each account.
• Evaluate sales, parts and service needs for each account.
  • Attend Board/Commissioner meetings when required

• Involve Store Lead and/or Salesperson so that two representatives from Gooseneck are present.
• Organize and present solutions that Gooseneck can provide to the Board/Commissioners.
  • Work with Regional Sales Manager and Store Leads

• Market Share and Unit budgets
• Manage key market share Governmental and commercial accounts
  • Reports to the Regional Manager

• Attend weekly sales call
• Attend Regional Store Lead meetings
• Attend product or business trainings that apply
• Report weekly status of Governmental/Commercial accounts/deals
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
• 1+ years equipment sales experience
• Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred
• Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
