Overview:
Join 2020 Companies as a Seasonal Retail Engagement Specialist and play a key role in building retail partner relationships, increasing program visibility, and supporting business growth across your territory!
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Pay: $25 per hour plus 10% Monthly Bonus Opportunity
Assignment Expectation: This position is expected to last 90 days from the date of hire.
Requirements: This position requires a personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening.
As a Retail Engagement Specialist, you will spend your day on the road traveling throughout your assigned territory to visit retail locations and build strong relationships with merchants. You will educate merchants on the client's financial services and program benefits, provide ongoing support, answer questions, maintain in-store materials, and document each visit while managing a daily route of approximately 22-30 locations. This relationship-focused role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, connecting with people, and spending their workday out in the field.

Day in the Life
  • Travel throughout your assigned territory visiting approximately 22-30 retail locations per day, depending on geography and scheduling.
  • Engage with merchants in a professional, relationship-focused manner.
  • Introduce and educate new merchants on the client's financial services and program benefits.
  • Provide on-site support, answer questions, and address concerns to build merchant understanding and confidence.
  • Place and maintain point-of-sale materials and in-store branding.
  • Document visits and track activity using mobile tools and reporting systems.
  • Manage a mix of in-store engagement, driving, and administrative follow-up throughout the day.
  • Work independently in the field while partnering closely with leadership and training teams to meet territory goals and coverage expectations.

Job Description:
  • Partner with the client to train and advocate for client products at the retailer
  • Drive merchant awareness within your assigned territory
  • Maintain professional interaction with both merchants and fellow employees
  • Attempt to place point-of-purchase signage on the exterior and/or interior of the business
  • Advise merchants by providing information on products
  • Audit and record competitive products, promotions, merchandising, displays, and merchant feedback
  • Travel to major markets and events for iconic launches to promote products
  • Contribute to team effort by assisting in launch-related activities, as needed
  • Responsible for accurately tracking and communicating all activity to Retail Operations
  • Ensure feedback reporting is submitted in a timely manner

Performance Measurements:
  • Meet or exceed quarterly visit goals
  • Meet or exceed weekly in-store time goals
  • Visit multiple store locations on a daily and weekly basis
  • Effectively schedule store visits two weeks or more in advance
  • Effectively execute assigned activities inside each location during all visits
  • Effectively demonstrate an ability to establish and influence business relationships through merchant awareness, POP placement, and consistent productivity
  • Record and maintain appropriate documentation for each visit

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Six (6) months of prior sales, promotion, retail, or marketing experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of products and services
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Impeccable integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. at a time
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Ability to maintain customer confidentiality
  • Reliable transportation within assigned territory
