Description

SAIC is seeking a Mid level Logistician to support NSWC Crane, Bedford, IN Division.
Calibration Lab Logistician: 
·         Receive and review calibration requests from Calibration Custodian
·         Request and report calibration quotes from vendors
·         Coordinate retrieval of equipment from Calibration Custodian
·         Manage outbound shipping logistics for calibration services
·         Receive and inspect returned equipment following calibration services 
·         Obtain Calibration Certification for Metrology Engineer to perform technical review and approve
·         Upload finalized calibration data and certification records into the calibration management system 
              following Metrology review
·         Maintain accurate and up-to-date calibration records in compliance with company and regulatory 
              requirements
·         Collaborate effectively as part of a team, working closely with other support entitites
·         Coordinate efforts with technical and professional  personnel on matters affecting equipment
               performance, test objectives, and calibration/certification reliability and effectiveness
·         Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and 
               maintain a safe, clean, and secure working environment

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one year of related experience. Experience in logistics tasking related to position accepted in lieu of a degree.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, databases)
  • Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; no clearance required to start

PREFERRED YEARS EXPERIENCE:
