Logistics / Shipping Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Pay Range: $23.00 – $29.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Logistics / Shipping Manager for a full-time temporary assignment. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day shipping, receiving, and logistics operations to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective movement of materials and products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable leading logistics activities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily shipping and receiving operations, including scheduling, documentation, and coordination with carriers
  • Oversee domestic and/or international shipments to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with regulations
  • Coordinate inventory movement, storage, and distribution to meet operational needs
  • Prepare and review shipping documents, bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork as required
  • Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings
  • Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and transportation partners to resolve shipping issues
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations
  • Track shipments and provide status updates to stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records in logistics and inventory systems
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain management
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of shipping processes, carriers, and freight documentation
