Temporary Salesforce Admins are professionals hired on a short-term basis to manage, configure, and maintain an organization’s Salesforce platform. They help with tasks such as user management, data imports, report creation, and troubleshooting system issues. These roles are often filled during periods of peak workload, special projects, or when permanent staff are unavailable. Their main goal is to ensure that Salesforce runs smoothly and meets the organization’s needs during their tenure.

What are the main challenges faced by a Temporary Salesforce Admin, and how can they be effectively addressed?

As a Temporary Salesforce Admin, one of the primary challenges is quickly adapting to the organization's existing Salesforce setup and understanding their unique processes. You may need to familiarize yourself with custom configurations, workflows, and data models in a limited timeframe. Effective communication with permanent staff and thorough documentation review are key to overcoming these hurdles. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication help you quickly adapt to new teams and resolve user issues efficiently. Job description

Join us as a Sr Salesforce Admin & Developer (Revenue Cloud) on the IT team, and help build the Salesforce platform that powers Anova's growth across our business units and into new markets. Start your journey with Anova today!
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the senior administrator and developer of Anova's unified Salesforce instance, owning configuration, custom development (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, APIs), releases, and platform health.
  • Work with our implementation partner to lead the build-out and ongoing optimization of Revenue Cloud - product catalog, price books, pricing controls, guided selling, contract management, renewals/amendments, and order management.
  • Partner with Sales Operations to refine the end-to-end sales workflow: opportunity advancement, delegation-of-authority discounting, pipeline tracking, and standardized global processes.
  • Own integrations between Salesforce and surrounding business systems (marketing automation, ERP and order management, billing, customer support, operational platforms, document generation/eSignature).
  • Manage releases across a multi-tier sandbox landscape using Git-based source control and ticket-driven tracking; lead testing, deployment, and post-release hypercare on an iterative cadence.
  • Drive data quality, governance, and migration; lead onboarding of new business units, regions, and acquisitions onto the platform.
  • Translate Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success requirements into scalable solutions; reduce dependency on the external implementation partner over time.
  • Coach and serve as technical lead for the existing Salesforce admin/developer; set patterns, review work, and grow team capability.

Success Criteria:
  • Revenue Cloud roadmap delivered on the agreed iterative cadence, with low post-release defect rates and a clear audit trail.
  • Anova's internal team becomes the primary owner of the Salesforce platform; implementation-partner dependency reduced to architectural advisory.
  • Clean, governed integrations across the surrounding business systems, with measurable improvements in pipeline and order data quality.
  • Repeatable templates and accelerators in place to extend Salesforce to new business units, regions, and future acquisitions.
  • Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, and IT view the role as an enabler of velocity, integrity, and visibility across the commercial process.

What you'll need to succeed:
Minimum Requirements -
  • 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration and/or development experience, with at least 2 years at a senior level on a complex, multi-business-unit instance.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Revenue Cloud (product catalog, price books, contracts, order management) and a willingness to deepen that expertise on the job.
  • Strong declarative Salesforce skills (Flows, validation rules, permission sets, sharing rules, page layouts, approval processes), plus working Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and REST/Bulk API experience.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with at least one ERP and one marketing automation platform.
  • Experience with multi-tier sandbox releases, Git-based source control, and ticket-driven release management.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification; strong English communication; able to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications -
  • Hands-on Salesforce Revenue Cloud implementation or administration experience (strongly preferred); Salesforce CPQ experience is a related, secondary credential.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I/II, Advanced Administrator, App Builder, or Revenue Cloud Consultant certifications.
  • Experience supporting iterative, multi-release Salesforce programs delivered with an external implementation partner.
  • Experience supporting M&A onboarding into Salesforce - data migration, role/permission rationalization, and process unification.
  • Familiarity with IT control frameworks (ISO-aligned, SOC-style) and Salesforce audit-readiness practices.

Work Authorization -
For this role Anova will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided. Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 with OPT or CPT, H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.
