Job description

Job Title: Global Travel & Expense (T&E) Systems Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking a Global Travel & Expense (T&E) Systems Manager to lead the administration, governance, and optimization of our enterprise Travel & Expense platform. You will serve as the primary business and systems owner for our T&E ecosystem, ensuring that our global platform remains performant, compliant, and integrated with our core financial and HR infrastructure.
This role is ideal for a hands-on systems expert who understands both the "financial control" side of expense management and the "user experience" side of digital transformation. You will partner with Finance, IT, and HR to drive continuous improvements, automate manual workflows, and scale our T&E operations to meet the needs of a fast-growing global organization.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Governance & Administration
• System Ownership: Serve as the global administrator for our primary Travel & Expense platform. Manage day-to-day configurations, system enhancements, user support, testing cycles, and release management.
• Operational Stability: Oversee the integrity of data interfaces between the T&E platform, ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), and HR systems (e.g., Workday). Resolve interface and reimbursement issues in collaboration with accounting and technical teams.
• Compliance & Control: Ensure global T&E policies and internal financial controls are strictly enforced through system configuration and automated workflows.
Strategic Improvement & Analytics
• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives focused on enhancing user experience, increasing automation, and optimizing operational efficiency.
• Compliance Analytics: Perform periodic audits and trend analysis to identify compliance risks, process bottlenecks, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Management Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards for travel, expense, and reimbursement activity to support leadership decision-making.
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Accounting Operations, IT, and Procurement.
• Global Scalability: Support the organization by evaluating global business needs against system capabilities, ensuring that our T&E infrastructure can scale alongside our global footprint.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with T&E-related software and corporate credit card vendors to ensure service delivery meets organizational standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience supporting Travel & Expense platforms, financial systems administration, or high-level finance operations in a global organization.
• Technical Mastery: Hands-on experience with SAP Concur administration (or equivalent enterprise-grade T&E software).
• Integration Knowledge: Demonstrated experience managing system integrations between T&E platforms, ERPs (SAP S/4HANA), and HRIS (Workday).
• Operational Literacy: Deep understanding of financial controls, audit requirements, and best practices for global expense management.
Preferred Attributes
• Advanced Certification: SAP Concur Advanced Configuration Certification (or similar).
• Project Leadership: Experience leading large-scale SaaS implementations or system-wide enterprise upgrades.
• Analytical Tools: Proficiency in reporting, data visualization, and compliance monitoring tools.
• Credit Card Programs: Experience managing global corporate credit card programs and related vendor relationships.
