Purpose of Position:


Del Monte Foods is the Foods Division of Fresh Del Monte, a global grower, producer and marketer of fresh, value-added, and shelf-stable produce. Del Monte Foods has a powerful portfolio of brands, including the iconic Del Monte®, Contadina® and S&W®. We are currently seeking a Seasonal Sanitation Section Lead. Del Monte Foods in Plover, Wisconsin is hiring Seasonal Workers to support our annual vegetable pack season. Seasonal employment typically begins in June and may continue through October with opportunities for extended work through late November/early December based on operational needs and employee performance.


Del Monte Foods in Plover, Wisconsin is hiring a Seasonal Sanitation Section Lead to support plant sanitation, food safety, deep cleaning, equipment cleaning, employee coordination, and production area sanitation during pack season operations. Employees in these positions perform sanitation and cleaning activities throughout the facility while assisting with employee direction, sanitation training, operational readiness, and compliance with sanitation standards.

Accountabilities:


Seasonal Sanitation Section Leads perform sanitation, cleaning, equipment washdown, deep cleaning, food safety support, and operational coordination duties in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Employees in these positions are responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary production areas, supporting operational readiness, assisting with sanitation compliance activities, and helping guide seasonal sanitation employees throughout the facility.

Employees may work independently or alongside production, maintenance, sanitation, and operational teams to complete routine sanitation assignments, deep cleaning projects, and operational cleanup activities before, during, or after production operations.

  • Key Responsibilities for General Production Grade 1 Roles
  • Employees may perform duties in one or more operational areas, including:
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment, processing areas, floors, conveyors, and operational workspaces
  • Operate sanitation tools and cleaning equipment including high-pressure hoses, scrubbers, squeegees, and related sanitation equipment
  • Apply and handle diluted sanitation chemicals safely and in accordance with company procedures
  • Remove debris, product waste, or sanitation materials from production areas
  • Support deep cleaning activities and sanitation projects throughout the facility
  • Perform sanitation duties before, during, and after production operations as assigned
  • Assist with operational cleanup activities for areas requiring additional sanitation support
  • Assist with coordinating sanitation assignments and workflow within assigned areas
  • Support training and mentoring of seasonal sanitation employees on proper cleaning procedures, safety expectations, and sanitation standards
  • Help ensure employees are utilizing required PPE, GMP materials, and sanitation procedures correctly
  • Follow GMP, food safety, sanitation, chemical handling, and lockout/tagout requirements
  • Maintain clean and organized sanitation equipment and work areas
  • Report sanitation concerns, equipment issues, operational deficiencies, or safety hazards to leadership
  • Support production, maintenance, or operational teams with sanitation-related activities as assigned


Training

  • On-the-job training is provided for all assigned work areas. Employees may be cross trained in multiple operational functions based on business needs.


Seasonal Incentives


To support employees during our peak pack season, Del Monte Foods offers select incentives for eligible seasonal workers. These incentives are designed to assist with temporary relocation and seasonal work demands and may include:

  • Housing assistance or housing incentives
  • Transportation allowance
  • Sanitation Bonus (for eligible employees)


These incentives are available only during the active pack season (typically June through early October) and are subject to eligibility requirements, availability, and business needs. Incentives may be modified or discontinued at any time based on operational conditions.


Minimum Skills Required:

  • Ability to safely work in a fast-paced manufacturing and sanitation environment
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, sanitation equipment, and high-pressure hoses
  • Ability to maintain productivity and sanitation standards during extended shifts
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to assist with guiding and training employees in sanitation procedures
  • Ability to safely lift, move, push, pull, or carry sanitation materials or equipment
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, maneuver around uneven surfaces, and work at heights safely
  • Ability to work in wet, humid, hot, and physically demanding environments while wearing PPE
  • Ability to safely work around moving machinery, conveyors, and production equipment
  • Reliable attendance and dependability throughout the seasonal production period
  • Previous sanitation, manufacturing, food processing, janitorial, or industrial cleaning experience
  • Experience working with sanitation chemicals or cleaning equipment
  • Previous experience working in food manufacturing or GMP-regulated environments
  • Experience with lockout/tagout procedures or industrial sanitation practices
  • Experience training, mentoring, or coordinating employees in operational environments
  • Bilingual communication skills are a plus
  • An equivalent combination of education, sanitation experience, manufacturing experience, janitorial services, food production experience, agricultural operations, military service, or related industrial experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.
