Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming.
  • Paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Repair drywall, plaster, and other wall finishes prior to painting.
  • Match existing paint colors and finishes when required.
  • Protect furniture, flooring, and fixtures after beginning work.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each project.
  • Safely operate ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and painting equipment.
  • Mix, store, and dispose of paints and related materials in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure a professional finish and quality standards are met.
  • Respond to painting-related work orders in a timely manner.
  • Assist with light maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Follow all hotel safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with guests and fellow associates while providing courteous and professional service.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of commercial, residential, or hospitality painting experience preferred.
  • Experience with drywall repair, patching, and finishing techniques.
  • Knowledge of painting tools, equipment, materials, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, and elevated platforms.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate painting tools and equipment.
Work Environment

This position operates throughout guest rooms, public spaces, mechanical areas, and exterior hotel grounds. The role requires adherence to all safety procedures while maintaining a professional appearance and minimizing disruption to hotel guests.
