Overview
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (L&D), Brunswick, Georgia, United States. Start date: 06/08/2026. This is a travel, temporary assignment for 13 weeks in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,000 to $2,036 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (3 per week).

Responsibilities
- Provide labor and postpartum nursing care for obstetric patients, including triage of admissions and ongoing assessment.
- Circulate during labor and assist with deliveries as appropriate; recover patients in PACU and monitor post-delivery status.
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, monitor maternal and fetal well-being, and respond to obstetric emergencies.
- Deliver postpartum care for the mother and newborn (couplet care), including education, breastfeeding support, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with obstetric team, anesthesia, and neonatal staff; document care accurately in the electronic medical record; uphold infection control and patient safety standards.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia (in good standing).
- Experience in labor and delivery and postpartum nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts and travel to the assignment location.
- Strong patient-centered communication and teamwork skills within an obstetric setting.
- Ability to triage, circulate, recover in PACU, and provide postpartum care to couplets.
