Job description

Title: Temp Finished Product Packer
Location: Valparaiso, IN
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm
Pay: $18.50/hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Working safely, following all plant rules, reporting all near misses and unsafe conditions
  • Operate packing, milling, and grinding equipment
  • Operate forklift
  • Complete pack-out sheets; prepare samples for pre-ship
  • Manage material to and from warehouses
  • Know the difference in products
  • Pack boxes/drums/bags and verify quantity
  • Label products / packing
  • Identify different pallets for products
  • Understand the importance of keeping contamination and foreign objects out of the customer product/packing
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Complete all duties, as required or assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Frequent lifting (34 - 66% of the day)
  • Constant standing (66 โ€“ 100% of the day)
  • Frequent overhead reaching (34 - 66% of the day)
  • Constant use of upper extremities, i.e. hands and arms (66 โ€“ 100% of the day)
REQUIRED:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prefer the temps to have 8โ€ steel toed boots but will accept 6โ€ steel toed boots.
