Shift: First (8:30am - 5:00pm M-F)

Hourly Wage: $21.00 - $24.00

Plant/Work Location: 10501-3 W 133rd Ave, Cedar Lake, IN 46303

Job Summary Shipping and Receiving Associate

  • Implement the Order Fulfillment Process steps related to the preparation of shipments and related documentation to ensure the complete satisfaction of the customer's requirements.
  • Knowledge of various items in stock; ability to select appropriate type and size of container; using appropriate packing material to prevent breakage or damage; closing and sealing containers; applying labels or entering identifying data on container.


Key Responsibilities Shipping and Receiving Associate

  • Manage order shipments using FedEx, UPS, and customer-specific portals.
  • Prepare product for shipment to the customer by inspecting, labeling and packaging product according to standard procedures.
  • Confirm correct quantity/counts against work order or packing slip.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read production or shipping documents.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.
  •  Prior experience with UPS, FedEx, customer portals, and international paperwork is preferred.


Work Environment Shipping and Receiving Associate

  • This role is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and chemicals.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
  • The position involves repetitive tasks and manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform manual tasks as required.
