STARTING WAGE $17.80/HOUR +MORE DOEEVENING & NIGHT SHIFTS RECEIVE AN ADD'L SHIFT DIFFERENTIALJOB SUMMARYUnder the supervision of a licensed nurse, performs hands-on nursing care for the residents within the CRH LTCC with emphasis on daily care needs, personal hygiene and cleanliness, grooming and skin care.
JOB REQUIREMENTSCurrent Wyoming Certified Nursing Assistant certification. A temporary nursing assistant certification may be accepted, but the permanent certification must be obtained prior to the expiration date of the temporary license.
EXPERIENCEPrevious experience as a nursing assistant in acute or long-term care preferred. Previous training and/or education in nursing related areas or as a nursing assistant preferred.
SKILLS- Exhibits an interest in and understanding of the special needs of the older adult and others requiring long term care.
- Must possess a high degree of confidentiality in all matters with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control principles.
- Must have well-developed motor coordination and manual dexterity to perform psychomotor nursing skills.
- Must be able to interact effectively with a wide variety of people.
- Has well-developed written and verbal communication skills to interpret written instructions, and to communicate and document effectively.
- Effective computer and keyboarding skills.
- Must have ability to learn and use Microsoft Office Suite products including Word and Outlook.
- Ability to learn new computer software applications.
- Seeks out and attends educational offerings to maintain necessary clinical skills.
