Job DescriptionThe Semi-Conductor Assembler builds assemblies according to work instructions. They also setup equipment, maintain inventory of hardware, and perform quality checks.
Responsibilities- Build assemblies using work instructions, work orders, and drawings as a guide
- Perform quality work checks to ensure product meets quality standard
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
- Adhere to all quality and safety guidelines
- Maintain accountability for product and process quality levels and required documentation
- Setup equipment in preparation for production orders and perform minor preventive maintenance on equipment
- Test Finished products for defects
- Provides general guidance on task completion, new skill acquisition and technical guidance to lower level associates
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in manufacturing
- Training to industry standards (IPC, J-Std, NASA, etc) preferred
- Previous/Active certifications and experience with NASA 8739 and/or J-STD-001 Space Addendum preferred
- Hand soldering and mechanical assembly experience required
- Competent in hand-soldering techniques to be sufficient for rework and repair
- This position may require visual acuity testing, to include but not limited to near vision and normal color vision testing on an ongoing basis
