We represented job opportunities and recruited for permanent and long-term temporary employees, known as "contract employees". Over the decades, we have expanded our employment services and territory but our goal has remained the same: to build a strong record of excellent service by partnering with our clients and understanding their needs. Our knowledge of technical engineering and design sets us apart from other recruiting and staffing agencies and now Designeers Midwest serves clients large and small from coast to coast.

Our contract personnel include Engineers and Designers skilled in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronic, Chemical, Process, and Structural / Architectural disciplines. Our Scientific Professionals serve the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Environmental and Medical fields. In addition, we also provide administrative personnel with experience in technical engineering and scientific environments.

Job Description

Industrial Maintenance Technician with a stable growing organization.

Provides technical support to Manufacturing Technicians, Value Stream Leaders and Engineers in areas such as production, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. 

Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. 


Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years or older 


Must be able to read, write, and speak English 


2 or more years relevant training in two or more maintenance trades, specifically mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatics 


HS diploma or GED required; Associates degree or technical certifications preferred


Previous experience training and/or leading others desired 


Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and schematics 


Knowledge of spreadsheet or database software preferred 


Work involves physical demands typically found in a manufacturing environment, such as but not limited to: prolonged standing, bending, lifting and/or moving materials
