This facility is a well-established healthcare organization serving the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, providing comprehensive emergency medicine services to the surrounding community. The facility features strong physician and nursing support staff and offers a collaborative environment with both inpatient and outpatient care capabilities.
Opportunity:
Board Certified - Advanced Practice (Physician Assistant) - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
  • Provide emergency medicine coverage from 12pm - 10pm shifts
  • Coverage dates needed: 9/5 - 9/7 and 9/12 - 9/13, with opportunity for additional future dates
  • Onsite orientation required one day prior to first scheduled shift
  • Only one provider will be accepted for this opportunity
  • Average of 36 patients seen per day
  • Average of 3 admissions per day
  • Ability to treat patients of all ages is required
  • Facility operates 7 days a week
  • Both inpatient and outpatient care responsibilities
  • Charting via Meditech EMR system
  • Board certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Active Michigan medical license required
  • Credentialing timeframe approximately 30 days, dependent on provider document submission speed
  • Temporary privileges granted when needed
  • Travel and lodging assistance available if needed; hospital can arrange accommodations
