Job description

Job Description Dermatologist Job in Michigan's Upper Peninsula Job-9081 **Accepting Dermatology Resident Applications. Are you looking for more than just your next dermatology position. Whether you're an experienced General Dermatologist, a recent graduate eager to build your practice or a physician who's always wanted to incorporate Mohs Surgery into your career, this unique opportunity offers the flexibility to create the practice you've envisioned.

A well-established dermatology practice in Michigan's scenic Upper Peninsula is seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Dermatologist to join its growing team. Physicians may choose to focus on general, medical and surgical dermatology or pursue the rare opportunity to receive mentorship and training in Mohs Surgery (without requiring a formal Mohs fellowship). Mohs training is entirely optional, making this an excellent fit for physicians at different stages of their careers and with varying professional interests.

Backed by an experienced operational infrastructure, the practice provides the clinical resources, technology and dedicated support staff needed to help physicians deliver exceptional patient care while minimizing administrative burdens. Immediate patient demand and a strong referral network ensure a busy schedule from day one. Position Highlights Full-time or part-time opportunity available Flexible full-time schedule of four or five days per week Practice medical and surgical dermatology with cosmetic services available based on your interests Rare opportunity for physicians interested in learning Mohs Surgery through on-the-job mentorship and training Established patient base with immediate volume and a strong referral network Modern, well-equipped practice designed for efficiency and physician productivity Dedicated medical assistants and experienced administrative support handling billing, credentialing and operational responsibilities Collaborative team environment with resources designed to help physicians focus on patient care Compensation & Benefits Estimated earning potential of $500,000 - $600,000+ annually Competitive guaranteed compensation with a percentage of collections Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, paid time off, CME allowance and malpractice coverage Life in Michigan's Upper Peninsula Located in the Marquette area, this opportunity offers an exceptional quality of life for physicians seeking both professional fulfillment and year-round outdoor adventure.

While Marquette itself is home to approximately 21,000 residents, it serves as the healthcare hub for Michigan's Upper Peninsula, drawing patients from communities across a vast multi-county region. The practice benefits from a broad referral network and a large regional service area, creating consistent patient demand and a busy clinical schedule. Set along the shores of Lake Superior, the region is known for its breathtaking natural beauty, welcoming community and remarkably low cost of living compared to many dermatology markets.

Outside the office, you'll enjoy easy access to hiking and mountain biking trails, world-class freshwater boating and fishing, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, waterfalls and miles of protected forests and shoreline. Whether you're raising a family, looking to slow down from a fast-paced metropolitan practice or simply want more time to enjoy life outside of work, Michigan's Upper Peninsula offers a lifestyle that's difficult to replicate elsewhere. If you're searching for a dermatology opportunity that combines outstanding earning potential, career flexibility and the chance to shape your future practice, including the opportunity to learn Mohs Surgery if desired, this might be your next career move.
