Job description

Leading provider of hospital and emergency medicine programs is currently expanding their team and looking for experienced and qualified Medical Billers. This position is not remote and will be in office in Roswell, GA.
Overall, this position will be responsible for submitting claims, working assigned A/R, submitting payer appeals and refund requests and other medical billing duties.
Pay: Up to $24hr! (Competitive Benefits and Perks Available!)
Hours: 7am - 4pm / 8am - 5pm (Flexible)
General Duties and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Works assigned claims that have not been paid from a list and ensures claims are clean for submission and re-submission to the insurance carriers
โ€ข Completes the Appeals process to assist in the collection of all money due to the practice for medical services provided
โ€ข Completes the Refund process for assigned payer
Requirements & Skilled Needed:
โ€ข 3 Years previous experience in medical billing and/or successful completion of secondary education in medical billing and/or medical administration
โ€ข Must fully understand the billing cycle to include all aspects of registration, billing, and coding
โ€ข Experience working with the Athena system is highly preferred
โ€ข Working knowledge of CPT coding, HCSPCS coding, and ICD10 coding for medical services. Understands the utilization of modifiers and other coding rules to include the AMA, CCI, and other coding organizations
Compensation: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
