Job Description

About the team: The ZF Garrett team supports packaging and light assembly of braking, electronics, and steering products for the automotive service distribution. 

What you can look forward to as Master scheduler:

  • Analyzes customer demand data to support Operational capacity for short term and long-term planning.
  • Monitors production schedule to satisfy customer demand including making recommendations for overtime or temporary relocation of manpower. 
  • Monitors and tracks customer actual demand vs planned demand for comparison to provide decision making data to Operational management.
  • Tracks and provides metric reporting for daily, weekly, monthly Operational KPI reporting /Communicates within department or other functional areas potential problems which may impact production or customer delivery including late arriving components, stock outs, production delays.
  • Adjusts production schedule as necessary for short lead time customer orders including creation of manual shop orders / Works with Customer Service team or production clerk to reallocate on hand inventory for production orders on shared components.
  • Provides data for and assists with implementation of continuous improvement projects.
  • Complies with all TS-16949 and ISO-14001 policies and standards.

Your profile as Master Scheduler:

  • Minimum experience of 1 year in production control, production scheduling, or material planning.
  • Intermediate level PC based software, spreadsheet, and data analysis skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills required. (Pivot tables, cross data, advanced formules) Nice to have experience with macros.
  • Nice to have Power BI skills.
  • Experience with utilizing ERP systems (SAP and BPCS  nice to have)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others to obtain data, follow up, and drive closure to projects/operational plans.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities. Able to assist in problem resolution and decision making.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and multiple tasks.
