Job description

ANALYST I - BOATING AND WATERWAYS DIVISION / RECREATIONAL BOATING SAFETY / SACRAMENTO, CA HEADQUARTERS
The reporting location for this position is 715 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. This position will work under supervision of the Supervisor II to support these important programs. Our location has many great amenities including, on-site cafe, local eateries and fitness center; public transit including suburban bus lines, transit incentives, public parking and more. The Analyst I processes applications and renewals, conducts analyses, and monitors skills and safety assessments for the For-Hire Vessel Operators' and For-Hire Vessel Carriers programs. The incumbent coordinates and proctors exams, grades written examinations, verifies medical examination reports, and researches legislation and regulations impacting the program. Responsibilities include interpreting and applying statutes, regulations, and policies with sound judgment, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, issuing licenses and refunds, managing the For-Hire directory database, and preparing reports. The role also involves providing project management support and assisting with program delivery to ensure effective implementation of program components.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
Possession of a valid Class C driver's license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver's license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
This position is designated is telework eligible-remote cetnered.
