Job description

HR Generalist

Reports to:HR Director, NA Beauty

Location: Full-time onsite - Cary, IL

This position is responsible for supporting the regional Beauty Site HRBP team in partnering with local management in the execution of the business strategy and implementation of Aptar practices within the site, in accordance to local laws, regulations and applicable agreements.

As an HR Generalist, You Will:

  • Act as an organizational steward and model ofAptar culture and core values
  • Support the deployment of theHR strategywithin the assigned site/facility 
  • Proactively support Site Management, providing expertise and guidance on any people-related matters across theemployee life cycle 
  • Support additionalkey local business projectsand initiatives from a people perspective 
  • Drive and coordinate the application of the overallHR Agendawithin the sites and implementing theyearly HR calendar(activities such as salary planning, LGS, OED, performance review, objectives setting, talent review, etc.) 
  • DeployAptar HR guidelines and toolsdeveloped by the CoE and Service Delivery and ensures that they meet business needs 
  • Ensurecompliancewith employment related laws and regulations, supporting business and regional HR Business Partnerswith expertise and guidance onpersonnel mattersaccording to local laws (i.e. disciplinary, terminations, etc.) 
  • Partner closely with the HR Service Delivery department to ensure timely and accurate delivery ofadministrative servicesto the site 
  • Liaise with Regional and Global CoE as appropriate.
  • Work withTalent and LearningDevelopment on people matters such as workforce planning, leadership development, talent acquisition, organization design, change management and succession planning 
  • Collaborate withTalent Acquisitionfor key recruitment initiatives and employer branding 
  • Partner withLearning & Developmentto define future training and development needs and providing training to the business sites offered by HORIZON catalogue 
  • Deliverstaffingsolutions for local profiles, including temporary staff, relying on efficient partnerships with temporary work agencies and leveraging the support of HR Service Delivery where appropriate 
  • UtilizeHR KPI'sto understand level of service offered to business and drive actions as applicable 
  • Act as theemployee advocateandchange agent and handles conflicts, fostering understanding, advancing ideas and inspiring trust 
  • Ensure annual Talent Review and Individual Development Plan processes are completed in cooperation with Regional Talent Management 
  • Manage localtrainingwith Learning & Development and Corporate University Ongoing recruitment of talent, including employer branding with local universities, schools and apprenticeship programs 
  • Develop temporary staffingagency relationships
  • Safety and incidents management(HR obligations deriving from workplace safety and health surveillance laws) 

Who We are Looking For

Required Qualifications:

Education

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, communications or a related field with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience  

Experience                                         

  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking capabilities
  • Proactive problem solver with employee relations experience
  • HRIS, SAP, Dayforce and Microsoft Office skills preferred

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $50,000 - 100,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
