We are seeking an Ecological Crew Leader to assist in invasive species management, prairie establishments, and native plant stewardship projects. This position would be responsible for leading, instructing, and tracking the performance of a small team while accomplishing a field project's goals. We are an ecological landscape service provider, offering a broad range of field services to enhance our environment using leading edge methodologies, indigenous plants and seeds, and innovative invasive plant species management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as crew leader for a 3-person team for ecological stewardship, invasive species management, habitat restoration, and other outdoor landscaping projects.
Maintain and operate a wide range of field equipment including sprayers, chainsaws, weed trimmers, machinery, vehicles, and trailers.
Complete field work such as herbicide applications by boom sprayer, backpack sprayer and hand-applicators; removal of invasive plants using machinery or power tools such as chainsaws, weed trimmers, mowers, or by hand; establish native plants through seeding or live plantings.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, botany, forestry, natural resources, or a closely related field OR adequate work experience in natural areas or invasive species management.
2+ years of related work experience.
Crew management and task/duty delegation. Ability to direct, inform, and train small crews.
Ability to work outside in a variety of harsh weather conditions.
Ability to correctly identify exotic and invasive plants, as well as plants native to Missouri and the Midwest.
Experience with invasive species management and herbicide use.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Must have Missouri Driver's License.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Missouri Pesticide Applicator's license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Technologically proficient.
Good verbal and written communication.

What we offer
Paid Time Off:
• Year 1: 5 days (1 week/vacation) ** 2 days (personal/sick)
• Year 2: 10 days (2 weeks/vacation) ** 4 days (personal/sick)
