) Apple Rehab Rocky Hill is a 100-bed skilled nursing center located right off the Silas Dean Highway in Rocky Hill CT. Our facility features private and semi-private rooms that our spacious enough to fit their favorite chair. The longevity of our staff makes it feel more like family with picnics and other activities for both staff and residents to enjoy inside or outside in our court yard.
Apple Rehab is a family owned and operated company that treats residents and staff like family too. Our expert team of senior management is located at our home office, right in Avon, CT, ensuring superior care from a local company. Our leadership is not across the country, but rather in your backyard.
Position: Temporary Registered Dietitian
Rate: $38+
Type:Full-Time Temporary position with the potential for permanent employment upon successful completion of the assignment.
Job Description:
Registered Dietitian
The Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive nutritional care for residents in facility. Ensures compliance with Food Service regulations and standards of practice offering counsel and/or directive to Dietary Managers, Nursing, or Administrators as deemed necessary. The Registered Dietitian participates in weekly "At Risk" meetings, monitors resident weights and nutrition intake as well as makes recommendations regarding resident diets and supplementary needs.
Qualifications Required:
  • Registered Dietitian with clinical and production experience in long term care setting.
  • Certified by the State of Connecticut as a CD-N.
  • Current knowledge of dietary practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines as they apply to long term care.
  • Effective communication skills; oral and written.
  • Self-motivated and flexible.
  • Must demonstrate cooperation; team player approach.
  • Must demonstrate patience, tact, enthusiasm, positive attitude.
  • Valid driver's license with vehicle.
