Job description

American Traveler is hiring an EP Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT-R/BLS certification for a Level I Trauma academic medical center.
Job Details
• Work in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab within a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center,
• 13-week assignment with Monday start dates,
• Day shift schedule with options for 5x8, 4x10, or 2x8 & 2x12 hour shifts,
• No on-call, weekend, or holiday requirements,
• Block or rotational scheduling available, with set days off for 10 or 12 hour shift options,
• Uses Epic charting system,
• Uses Philips and Siemens equipment, including ultrasound,
Job Requirements
• ARRT-R and BLS certification required; ARRT-CI preferred,
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, though 1.5 years may be accepted with Level I Trauma or travel experience,
• First-time travelers will be considered,
• Must be able to scrub and maintain a sterile field,
• Epic charting experience preferred,
• Experience with electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablation, and pacemaker insertion required,
• Experience with arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, and cardiac mapping preferred,
• Skilled in equipment setup, EKG lead placement, and access site preparation,
• Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias,
• 1 professional reference required,
• License required if applicable,
Additional Information
• Responsibilities include circulating procedures, conduction studies, insertion/programming of AICDs, LAA closure, and temporary pacemaker and Watchman procedures,
• Facility is a large academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center,
• Trauma Center experience at a large facility is required for consideration,
• Maintains equipment, inventory, and stocks supplies as part of role,
• Follows isolation precautions and PPE protocols; lead tech experience preferred,
• Scrub color required is royal blue,
• Flu vaccine is required with no declinations accepted,
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only,
• Local candidates are not accepted if within 75 miles of the facility,
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler,
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
