We are seeking an experienced Director of Information Technology to lead our enterprise technology strategy and drive modernization across our corporate IT environment. This position oversees IT operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud services, enterprise applications, and digital transformation initiatives within a defense contracting environment. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, deep knowledge of government and defense cybersecurity requirements, and the ability to balance innovation with operational stability. You will have the opportunity to shape INTUITIVE's technology future while building a culture of service, accountability, security, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of INTUITIVE's enterprise IT strategy and modernization roadmap.
  • Align technology investments with business objectives and operational needs.
  • Modernize infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments to ensure secure, scalable, and resilient operations.
  • Implement emerging technologies, including AI and automation, to improve efficiency and outcomes in partnership with the Director of Digital Solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with CMMC, NIST 800-171, DFARS, RMF, ITAR/EAR, and related federal cybersecurity requirements while maintaining a strong enterprise security posture and protecting CUI and other sensitive data.
  • Oversee enterprise infrastructure, networking, endpoint management, disaster recovery, and collaboration platforms.
  • Improve operational efficiency through business process optimization, system integration, data governance, and enterprise reporting capabilities.
  • Manage IT support operations and ensure responsive, customerfocused service delivery.
  • Direct IT projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, schedule, and security requirements.
  • Manage budgets, procurement, licensing, vendor relationships, and thirdparty service providers.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15 years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), federal contracting, or regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise IT operations, cybersecurity programs, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks (CMMC, NIST 800-171, DFARS, RMF), Zero Trust principles, cloud security, and enterprise infrastructure/networking.
  • Experience managing hybrid cloud and on-premise enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, technical teams, auditors, and government stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, budgeting, and organizational development skills.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance

Desired

  • The following certifications are highly desired and strongly considered for this role: CISSP, CISM, ITIL, PMP, Azure certification, Certified CMMC Professional (CCP), and/or Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA).
  • Experience supporting GCC High and/or Azure Government environments
  • Experience leading IT operations within a defense contractor or DoD-regulated environment.
  • Experience with enterprise SIEM, EDR, Zero Trust, and identity governance technologies.
  • Experience integrating cybersecurity into enterprise architecture and operational workflows.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed operations and classified/unclassified environments.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI adoption, and automation technologies within regulated industries.
