Job Description:

The IT Customer Services intern representative is responsible for maintaining, managing, configuring, and troubleshooting End User Desktops in secure program areas. Duties include installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows Desktops (virtual or physical), as well as maintaining engineering software tools. This person must be able to communicate technical concerns and solutions to various levels of management, engineering, and security teams. Perform other IT duties as required.

Essential Functions:

  • Desktop support responsible for the configuration and maintenance of Windows systems while ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and availability.
  • Monitor service request queues and provide desktop system and application troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand program requirements and deliver exceptional IT services.
  • Communicate technical issues and strategies to management and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to support extra hours beyond normal work schedule as needed.
  • Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 35 pounds across campus for various needs.

Qualifications:

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Information Technology or related field or have completed their Bachelor's degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking protocols, and security best practices.
  • Experience with Wyse Management Suite.
  • Experience with Active Directory and user management.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts and working principles.
