Job Description

The IT Support Technician is the first line of support for users both in the office and manufacturing/production environment. This position will provide support for and maintain in-house devices and computer systems. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. With a high level of customer service and sense of urgency, you will respond to work requests in-person throughout the manufacturing plant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Local IT support for the Alabama plant - 1st level end-user support
    Operation of local data center (servers and applications)
    Cooperation with Corporate IT and Implementation of Corporate IT Guidelines
    Operation of local IT infrastructure (i.e. network, firewalls, switches, phone system, etc.)
    Assure continuity of the computer system for all system users
    Install selected software and hardware products
    Work closely with vendors to ensure continuity of service and purchase of local IT equipment
    Stay abreast of the latest developments in MIS technology
    Provide technical assistance and advice to users as needed
    Maximize opportunities which help HYCO achieve its core objectives.

Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 

    Associate degree in Computer Science
    2+ years of experience as a computer specialist
    SAP Basic Skills: User Rights Management, ABAP
    Skills in the Modules PP+QM
    Customizing Skills in SAP
    Experience with day to day server operations.
