Accounting Assistant – Accounts Receivable Focus

Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting operations with a primary focus on Accounts Receivable (AR). This role is ideal for an organized professional who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative support in a fast-paced office environment.
The Accounting Assistant will play a key role in supporting financial processes, customer communication, document management, and general office operations.
Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Support Accounts Receivable activities, including payment tracking and account maintenance
  • Process, organize, and maintain invoices and financial records
  • Enter and update accounting information accurately in company systems
  • Utilize QuickBooks to assist with daily accounting transactions
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Excel
  • Answer and direct incoming calls while providing professional customer service
  • Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems
  • Assist with administrative and clerical tasks for the accounting department
  • Support special projects and additional accounting duties as needed

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Previous experience as an Accounting Assistant, Accounts Receivable Clerk, Bookkeeper, or similar accounting support role preferred
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential financial information
