Schedule / Job TypeContract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Every 3rd Weekend Rotation | Holiday Rotation
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Surgical Progressive Care Unit (SPCU) with a 23-bed capacity
- Manage a patient population that includes cardiovascular, cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
- Maintain safe patient ratios of 1:3 to 1:4 while delivering high-quality stepdown/progressive care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC EMR
- Participate in weekend rotation (every 3rd weekend) and holiday rotation as required
- Float to other stepdown or PCU units within the facility as needed
- Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) state licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a stepdown, PCU, or progressive care setting
- Experience with CVPCU, cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patient populations
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
- Prior travel nursing experience in a stepdown or progressive care environment
- Opportunity to work in a well-established progressive care unit with a structured and supportive team environment
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week providing schedule consistency throughout your 13-week assignment
