Job description

This posting is for a temporary, part-time, casual/seasonal Crossing Guard position with Fifer Middle School. This is an hourly position with no benefits.
This position is for 3 hours daily (morning and afternoon) and involves assisting students in crossing the street safely by directing traffic before and after school.
For continued employment beyond the current school year, Crossing Guards must reapply online each school year.
PAY: $17.35 per hour
HOURS:  Will vary depending on school schedules. Crossing guards report in the morning and afternoon during daily arrival and dismissal times.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:









  • Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
  • Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following:  proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver's License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
