~~ ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Assure the safety of children crossing street intersections at designated crossing areas.

Must wear City provided safety vest and carry provided STOP sign during all shifts.

CLASSIFICATION

Crossing Guard Employee Group

Not to exceed 48 minutes before school (0.8)

EMPLOYMENT DATE

To be arranged.

Qualification: PREPARATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

Must complete required training course and pass quiz before beginning employment.

Willingness to assume responsibility.

Ability to work well with others.

Must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions.

Ability to work independently.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Enjoy working with young people.

Ability to effectively supervise students while maintaining a positive relationship with them.

Regular attendance.
