Day in the life of a Tax Accountant:
  • Perform tax projections and prepare/review tax returns.
  • Process payroll tax payments and prepare payroll tax forms.
  • Review and provide quality control for payroll & bookkeeping work performed by the Tax & Accounting Assistant, intern, or temp.
  • Actively and aggressively market tax & accounting services to current and prospective customers
  • Assist in training and guidance for tax & accounting staff.
  • Providing excellent internal and external customer service will be at the core of your daily interactions.
  • This role will also consist of daily customer interactions, such as answering incoming calls and in office customer meetings.

What Experience can you Bring?
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • In lieu of a degree 2 years of experience in public accounting or tax planning & preparation would be accepted
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent designation is preferred.
  • Must pass the Farm Credit Income Tax Certification Exam after beginning employment.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws and accounting principles.
