What is a No Experience Enrolled Agent job?

A No Experience Enrolled Agent job is a position for individuals who have recently earned their Enrolled Agent (EA) certification but have little to no prior tax preparation or IRS representation experience. These roles often involve assisting with tax filings, researching tax laws, and supporting senior tax professionals. Employers may provide training to help new EAs develop their skills and gain hands-on experience. Many entry-level EA jobs are found in tax preparation firms, accounting firms, or corporate tax departments.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Enrolled agents typically do not earn $4,000 a week without experience or certification; however, high-earning freelance tax consultants or financial advisors with specialized skills and client bases can reach that level. These roles often require industry knowledge, certifications, and self-employment, with income varying based on workload and expertise.

How to become an EA with no experience?

To become an enrolled agent (EA) with no experience, you must pass the IRS Special Enrollment Examination (SEE), which covers tax topics, and obtain a valid Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). No work experience is required, but strong knowledge of tax laws and passing all exam parts are essential for certification and licensing.

How to make $10,000 a month with no degree?

Enrolled Agents can increase earning potential by gaining experience, specializing in high-demand areas like tax resolution or consulting, and building a client base through networking and marketing. While a degree is not required, obtaining certification and developing strong skills in tax preparation and client management can help achieve higher income levels, potentially reaching $10,000 per month with dedication and business growth.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the No Experience Enrolled Agent position, and why are they important?

To excel as a No Experience Enrolled Agent, you should possess a solid understanding of federal tax laws, strong analytical ability, and a willingness to learn, even if you lack direct experience. Passing the IRS Special Enrollment Examination (SEE) and familiarity with tax preparation software, such as Drake or ProSeries, are typical technical requirements. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills set top candidates apart by enabling them to explain complex tax issues to clients and collaborate with team members. These skills are crucial for ensuring compliance, building client trust, and delivering accurate, high-quality tax services.

What is the easiest job to get into with no experience?

A No Experience Enrolled Agent role typically requires passing a series of IRS exams and obtaining certification, but entry-level positions in tax preparation or administrative support often require minimal experience and offer on-the-job training. These jobs usually involve basic clerical skills, customer service, and familiarity with tax or financial software.

What does the career path look like for someone starting as a No Experience Enrolled Agent?

Starting as a No Experience Enrolled Agent, you’ll typically work under the guidance of experienced tax professionals while assisting clients with tax preparation, research, and correspondence with the IRS. As you gain hands-on experience and develop your expertise, there are opportunities to advance to senior agent roles, specialize in complex tax issues, or even manage a team. Many Enrolled Agents also move into advisory positions or open their own practices as they build their reputation and client base. Continuous education and staying current on changing tax laws are key to long-term growth in this field.

Job description

PrideStaff is seeking an experienced Enrolled Agent for our client in North County San Diego. This is a remote position but the associate must live locally for in person meetings. Interested and qualified for this position? Give us a call.
Position: Enrolled Agent
Pay Rate: $36/hr-$45/hr DOE
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm
Location: Remote position (Must live locally to North County San Diego)

Remote — Temp-to-Hire — $75,000–$95,000 + bonus potential
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enrolled Agent (EA) to own substantive case work — not to support it from the sidelines. You will take matters from intake to filing-ready: building workpapers, analyzing financial records, drafting forms and submissions, communicating with clients and tax agencies, and moving each case forward. Attorneys set strategy and review key decisions; you own execution.
Responsibilities:
• Own a caseload of substantive matters — IRS and state collections, IRS/FTB income tax audits,
EDD employment tax audits, CDTFA sales tax audits, appeals, Tax Court, innocent spouse, and tax consulting — advancing each from intake through resolution.
• Analyze financial records — tax returns, account transcripts, financial statements, general ledgers, and bank records — and build the workpapers (BDA, financial analysis, audit, and sales tax) that drive case strategy.
• Draft substantive work product — IRS forms (433-A, CDP requests, penalty abatement requests, appeals), Tax Court petitions, and FOIA and TAS requests — ready for attorney review rather than attorney redo.
• Work directly with tax agencies — obtain Powers of Attorney, pull and review account and Wage & Income transcripts, respond to information requests, and follow up with agency personnel at IRS, FTB, CDTFA, and EDD.
• Conduct legal and factual research using AI tools (Blue J, Protégé) and traditional platforms (Lexis, IRM), and draft clear memos for internal and client use.
• Keep clients informed and confident — gather documents, provide plain-English status updates, and make sure no client ever wonders what is happening on their case.
• Manage each file end to end — clean setup, deadline and budget tracking, retainer awareness, and complete closings.
• Collaborate daily with attorneys and teammates — strategy meetings, a short daily check-in, and mutual backup when volume spikes.
Qualifications
Required
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in a tax, paralegal, or accounting environment
• Demonstrated comfort working with financial data — tax returns, account transcripts, financial statements, general ledgers
• Proven ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and decide the next step from the file rather than from instructions
• A collaborative working style — communicates proactively, shares information freely, and works well on a small, tight team
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and tax agency personnel
• High attention to detail and a track record of catching inconsistencies in financial or tax data
• Strong organizational habits and comfort with case management systems, checklists, and new technology
Strongly Preferred
• Enrolled Agent (EA) license
• Direct experience interacting with IRS, FTB, CDTFA, or EDD
• Prior experience drafting IRS forms (433-A, CDP, penalty abatement, appeals)
