Are you a skilled Data Analyst who loves bridging the gap between complex database systems and real-world business decisions?

We are seeking a collaborative Data Analyst for an exciting project with a governmental client in the West Denver area. In this role, you won't just sit behind a screen. You will actively partner with various municipal department teams to map out operational workflows, audit legacy database structures, and build dynamic Power BI dashboards that empower city leaders to make data-driven decisions.

While this is a project-based, temporary position, our clients frequently look to our talented temporary team members when permanent internal roles open up. If you are looking to make a highly visible impact in the public sector, we want to hear from you!

What We Offer (Our Benefits)

As a W-2 employee with us, you will enjoy a supportive employment experience with standard staffing benefits, including:

  • Weekly Electronic Pay (Direct Deposit)
  • W-2 Employment Status
  • Retirement Savings Plans
  • Dedicated recruiter support throughout your assignment

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate & Translate: Partner directly with non-technical department heads to understand their reporting challenges and translate business needs into technical database specifications.
  • Modernize & Automate: Map out legacy database tables (ADG system) and transition static, text-heavy reports into interactive, user-friendly Power BI dashboards.
  • Data Extraction: Write precise, efficient SQL queries (including joins, subqueries, and views) to extract and clean complex datasets.
  • Ensure Integrity: Audit and validate new reports against source systems to ensure absolute accuracy and document workflows for future internal users.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

  • Strong SQL Skills: Proven experience writing relational database queries to extract, clean, and manipulate backend data.
  • Power BI Expertise: Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining interactive visual dashboards (experience with SSRS is also acceptable).
  • Excellent Communication: Comfort interviewing business users, managing stakeholder expectations, and presenting technical data in a simple, visual format.
  • The Extras (Pluses): Prior experience in local government/public sector, SSRS experience, or direct experience navigating ADG (American Data Group / Vantage ERP) is highly preferred.

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

Because this position supports a government entity, candidates must be prepared to complete the following onboarding steps:

  • Municipal Background Check: Must successfully pass a comprehensive municipal background check prior to being granted system and network access.
  • Fingerprint & CJIS Clearance: Because certain projects require access to sensitive public safety or court data, the selected candidate must be eligible to undergo a fingerprint-based criminal history check and obtain CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) certification within the first 30 days of placement. (Please note: Fingerprinting and clearance processing times will apply prior to full system access).

Please forward your resume for consideration.
