Ursa Major is seeking an experienced Corporate Development professional with previous experience in investment banking or corporate development who possesses a high level of critical thinking skills, a proactive work ethic, financial modeling expertise and excels in a fast-paced environment to join our growing Finance Team. The Corporate Development and Finance Senior Associate will support the Senior Director of Corporate Development as it pertains to M&A, fundraising, investor relations and corporate financial planning. These include, but are not limited to, financial modeling, due diligence activities, forecasting, analyzing other financial and operational metrics and communicating strategic rationale to executives for Ursa Major. The Corporate Development and Finance Senior Associate will collaborate with the corporate leadership team to produce reliable, accurate, comparable, and timely analysis that drives major transactions at the company.
Responsibilities:
- Transaction Support: Execute financial modeling and valuation analysis for potential M&A opportunities, joint ventures, and fundraising rounds.
- Due Diligence: Act as a central point of contact during the diligence process, managing data rooms and coordinating across legal, tax, and product teams to identify risks and synergies.
- Strategic Communication: Draft high-impact presentations for the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team.
- Investor Relations: Support the preparation of materials for investor updates, earnings calls, and prospective funding pitches.
- Forecasting and Consolidation: Drive the periodic consolidation of financials across various business lines to provide a unified view of company performance while tracking KPIs to provide insights into performance, helping leadership drive strategy decisions
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Corporate Development, or a high-growth FP&A environment.
- Experience with a variety of deal structures, including M&A, carve-outs, equity investments, and joint ventures
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including experience building complex financial models from scratch
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and present to leadership
- High level of ownership and curiosity; thrives in fast-moving, scrappy environments
Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $100,000 - $135,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. What we can'tย quantify for you are the exciting challenges, supportive team, and amazing culture we enjoy.ย
