Position Summary:
We are seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise grade analytics integrations across multiple systems and platforms. As a core member of the Technology team, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining the enterprise analytics platform that supports operational, financial, and field service reporting.
The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and modern data platform patterns. This position bridges analytics engineering and platform architecture, consolidating data from diverse business systems into a trusted, scalable, and governed analytics environment. The Data Analytics Engineer partners closely with data stakeholders, finance, safety, and leadership teams to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and secured.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and evolve the enterprise analytics data architecture to support scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability. Design and evolve the enterprise analytics data architecture to support scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Build and manage ELT/ETL pipelines that integrate data from ERP systems, asset platforms, construction management tools, and field applications using batch and incremental patterns.
  • Develop data models (star schema, data vault, or Fabric lakehouse models) optimized for analytics consumption and reporting across business units.
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Lead the migration from legacy reporting approaches to a unified analytics platform.
  • Integrate structured and unstructured data from on prem and cloud based enterprise systems.
  • Define and apply metadata, lineage, data governance, and security patterns (RBAC/ABAC) in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain Power BI semantic models, datasets, and reports that support operational, financial, and field level decision making.
  • Enable self service analytics through certified datasets, standardized metrics, and automated data refresh processes.
  • Work with data consumers to translate business needs into analytical models that drive operational performance, forecasting, risk mitigation, and compliance management.
  • Work cross functionally with leadership and operational teams to align analytics initiatives with business objectives.
  • Participate in data governance efforts by defining and enforcing data stewardship practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to analysts and operational users with varying levels of data literacy.

Competencies:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Prefer 3+ years experience, d ata analytics engineer
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL and/or comparable platforms (PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, Snowflake, or similar), and analytics data modeling, including dimensional/semantic models, KPI definition, and performance optimization across enterprise datasets.
  • Hands on experience with modern analytics and BI platforms, such as Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, and/or comparable cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Tableau).
  • Proven ability to design and operate ETL/ELT analytics pipelines, using Fabric Data Factory, SSIS (legacy), or cloud native orchestration tools.
  • Experience implementing data governance, security, and quality best practices, including lineage, access control, auditability, and metric standardization.
  • Experience working with version-controlled analytics code, using Git or equivalent systems, following best practices for branching, peer review, and controlled promotion across environments.
  • Exposure to preparing analytics datasets for AI, Copilot, agent-based solutions, or workflow automation.
  • Strong background in data modeling, including semantic models, logical/physical schema design, and data vault or dimensional methodologies.
  • Experience with predictive analytics, forecasting, or anomaly detection, using Python, R, Fabric Data Science workloads, or equivalent analytics tooling.
  • Familiarity with asset intensive, field service industries such as utilities, construction, engineering services, or similar operational environments.
  • Advanced experience operating in hybrid or multi-platform analytics environments, including the Microsoft analytics ecosystem (Fabric, Power BI, OneLake) alongside non-Microsoft data platforms and tools.
  • Familiarity with construction services would be helpful but not required.
