Description:

The Vice President of Construction will provide both strategic and hands‑on leadership across a large portfolio of complex capital projects, ensuring delivery excellence across schedule, cost, quality, safety, and customer requirements. This role requires deep technical expertise in data center construction, strong financial and commercial acumen, and the ability to lead distributed teams and external partners across multiple markets.

This is a high-impact leadership position combining executive oversight with active involvement in execution strategy, cost optimization, contractor management, and cross‑functional coordination across development, engineering, operations, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all construction activities across multiple data center projects and active regions
  • Direct a team of construction directors responsible for individual campuses and project portfolios
  • Ensure strict governance of capital expenditure budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and financial reporting across all programs
  • Oversee full lifecycle project execution including preconstruction planning, competitive bidding, contractor selection, construction delivery, commissioning, and closeout
  • Drive consistent delivery of projects aligned with schedule, budget, safety, quality, and contractual requirements
  • Partner with sales and commercial teams to ensure client requirements are incorporated into project execution and delivery outcomes
  • Provide executive leadership in resolving complex design, construction, and delivery challenges in real time
  • Lead cross‑functional coordination between engineering, design, operations, procurement, and external delivery partners
  • Oversee vendor and contractor management including qualification, performance evaluation, and long‑term relationship development
  • Support capital planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting in collaboration with finance and development leadership
  • Review major bid packages, cost estimates, and contract structures to ensure value optimization and risk mitigation
  • Drive continuous improvement through structured lessons‑learned feedback loops across all projects and regions
