Summary
To monitor and manage all beverage areas on a daily basis. To ensure all accepted standards and policies are followed and enforced to maximize guest safety and satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Promote Cache Creek Casino Resort in a positive manner.
Maintain beverage (alcohol) distribution system, inventory, cleanliness, accuracy of pours and replacement of product, daily.
Maintain soda (non-alcoholic) distribution system, inventory, cleanliness, accuracy of pours and replacement of product, daily.
Inspect bars for cleanliness.
Manage cocktail and beverage servers, high roller butlers, bartenders and bar backs.
Prepare schedule for staff.
Inspect bartender preparation and enforce recipe standards.
Setup all banquet bars.
Hold daily pre-shift meetings, communicate all important information.
Conduct weekly staff training on "Sequence of Service Standards".
Inspect all service staff uniforms daily to ensure accepted standards are met.
Interface and communicate with all related departments such as casino, restaurant or club manager and security related to beverage issues.
Enforce alcohol awareness policy to ensure staff does not over serve a guest.
Master I.P. system requisitioning procedures.
Maintain all accepted bar inventories.
Conduct spot inventories to ensure all pars are accurate.
Maintain key distribution system.
Attend all required meetings.
Conduct all manager functions for POS (point of sale) system for daily operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the Beverage Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
Six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Age Requirement
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
