Event Staff– Seasonal

Job Summary

As a Seasonal Event Staff Member, you're the energy behind the experience. From the moment guests arrive to the second they leave, you'll keep the crowd moving, the atmosphere electric, and every interaction memorable. This role is fast-paced, guest-facing, and essential to what makes Thirteenth Floor's attractions run flawlessly night after night.

What You'll Do

Guest Flow & Crowd Management

  • Guide guests through queue lines, entrances, and exits, keeping traffic moving efficiently and wait times to a minimum

  • Proactively identify and address bottlenecks before they impact the guest experience

  • Implement crowd management strategies that balance safety, pacing, and atmosphere

Guest Experience & Customer Service

  • Deliver friendly, high-energy interactions at every touchpoint—answering questions, setting expectations, and keeping guests excited

  • Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally, turning friction into a positive moment

  • Maintain the immersive atmosphere that defines the Thirteenth Floor experience throughout every shift

Event Operations

  • Assist with event setup and teardown, ensuring all areas are clean, organized, and show-ready

  • Support props, décor, and effects upkeep in coordination with production and technical staff

  • Adapt to special event needs as they arise, stepping in wherever the team needs support

Safety & Communication

  • Stay alert for safety hazards and report concerns to management immediately

  • Support security personnel in maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff

  • Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations following established protocols

  • Communicate clearly with actors, managers, and fellow staff to ensure seamless nightly operations

What You Bring
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at time of hire

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (employment eligibility verified through E-Verify)

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays throughout the event season—non-negotiable

  • Comfortable in dark, loud, high-energy environments with strobe effects, fog, and close guest interaction

  • Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset

  • Ability to stay calm and focused in fast-paced, high-volume situations


Compensation & Employment Details

Hourly Rate: $21.00 hr 
Employment Type: Seasonal/Temporary
Expected Season Duration: Late September – Early November 2026
Work Schedule: Evenings, weekends, and holidays required during operational season
