Contract Period: 9/24 – 03/27/2026
Pay Rate: $65.00/hour
Minimum Education Requirement: Doctoral (PharmD)
Professional Certification Required: No
Schedule: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday–Friday, with rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage


Position Summary

The Pharmacist is responsible for supporting pharmacy management's goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. This role provides routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services across various drug distribution systems serving the centers. Strong management skills and a high degree of accuracy are required to ensure that the appropriate drug product reaches the customer efficiently and safely.

This is a temp-to-hire position, with an initial contract period from 9/24 to 03/27/2026, with potential for conversion to a permanent role based on performance and business need.

Essential Functions

  • Execute day-to-day pharmacy operations related to workflow, production quotas, and deadlines
  • Ensure the pharmacy complies with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all DEA policies and procedures as set forth by PharmScript or the applicable regulatory agency, whichever is stricter
  • Ensure the pharmacy complies with all third-party payer contract rules and regulations
  • Supervise pharmacy production staff to ensure proper order entry, workflow, security of the pharmacy area, and adherence to delivery schedules
  • Check all new and refill labels and orders for completeness and accuracy; verify content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling
  • Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of all sterile IV drug products or solutions
  • Assist in the proper ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances; help maintain a perpetual inventory for Schedule II drugs
  • Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled on-call rotation and as required by management
  • Clear the workflow dashboard daily
  • Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
  • Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required and/or expected
  • Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
  • Perform other duties as assigned
