Job description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Robotic Finisher/Polisher to perform robotic and manual polishing, buffing, and finishing operations on Client products. This role is responsible for achieving required cosmetic and blueprint specifications through the use of robotic equipment, abrasive belts, buffing wheels, compounds, and polishing materials. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting blueprints, performing precision inspections, and working independently in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform robotic and hand polishing/buffing operations on products to meet cosmetic and dimensional specifications. Load and unload parts into robotic finishing equipment. Operate polishing and finishing equipment using abrasive belts, buffs, compounds, and greases. Change belts, wheels, and other consumables as necessary to maintain proper surface finishes. Perform final buffing and finishing on parts requiring additional work after robotic processing. Maintain department equipment and ensure machines are operating efficiently and safely. Inspect finished products to verify compliance with blueprint and quality requirements. Use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment to validate product specifications. Follow established manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Work effectively within a team-oriented and cellular manufacturing environment. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts as needed. R equired Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of relevant manufacturing, polishing, finishing, or metalworking experience. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Proficie ncy in product inspection usin g: Micrometers Calipers Comparators Gauges Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work in a team-based manufacturing environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating robotic finishing or polishing equipment. Experience in medical device, aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing environments. Knowledge of surface finishing, polishing techniques, and quality inspection methodologies. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement practices. Certifications No specific certifications required. Manufacturing, quality inspection, or machining-related certifications are considered a plus. Education: High School
