Location: Warsaw, IN
Pay Rate: $36/hr
Duration: 1 year
Schedule: Full-time, onsite


About the Role:
The team is looking for an entry-level Packaging Engineer to support the design, development, and processing of implant and instrument packaging under the direction of a project leader or manager. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in Packaging Science or Engineering who is interested in medical device packaging and product development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and process implant and instrument packaging
  • Design packaging for manufacturability, inspectibility, and optimal cost
  • Generate prototype models to evaluate new design concepts
  • Coordinate product evaluations with surgeons
  • Develop comprehensive protocols for testing and analyzing products
  • Generate design assurance documentation and support project requirements
  • Work under the direction of project leaders and managers throughout the development process


Requirements:

  • B.S. in Packaging Science or Engineering required
  • 0–1 years of experience
  • Knowledge of packaging design and development principles
  • Understanding of design for manufacturability and cost optimization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop prototypes and testing protocols
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fully onsite, collaborative environment
