{Quality Engineer}

Location: La Porte, IN

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Quality Engineer for our hydraulic component manufacturing client to start immediately at competitive wages. Receive comprehensive benefits through ITS upon hire!


Responsibilities

  • Oversee quality assurance for machined hydraulic fittings, adapters, and couplings.
  • Develop and implement inspection processes aligning with customer drawings, CAD models, and industry standards (SAE, ISO, API, ASME, ASTM).
  • Support incoming, in-process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
  • Prepare documentation such as PPAPs, FAIRs, control plans, and FMEAs for traceability and compliance.
  • Lead corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to address non-conformances and optimize processes.
  • Apply statistical tools like SPC and capability studies to monitor machining quality.
  • Act as the customer’s quality contact, assisting with audits and reporting quality metrics.
  • Ensure hydraulic products meet pressure, safety, and corrosion standards.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to train staff and support new product validation.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of quality engineering experience with machined hydraulic parts.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, and thread standards (SAE JIC, NPT, ORFS, BSP).
  • Proficiency with measurement tools and CMMs.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, PPAP, FMEA, CAPA, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • ASQ CQE or Six Sigma Green Belt certifications preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
