POSITION TITLE: Press Brake Operator

DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing

Position Summary

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake equipment to fabricate metal components according to blueprint specifications and production requirements. This role ensures quality production through accurate machine operation, inspections, and adherence to safety standards while maintaining production efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate press brake machines according to work instructions and blueprints
  • Select and install proper tooling, dies, and materials for production jobs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measuring specifications
  • Perform machine adjustments to maintain quality and production standards
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Monitor machine performance and identify any operational issues or defects
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies
  • Communicate production concerns, equipment issues, or material shortages to leadership
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency and reduce scrap
Qualifications
