Job description

This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Under close supervision, the Medical Device Assembler performs assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. The role requires following specified procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to safety protocols, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and productivity. This position supports divisional initiatives and complies with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements. The ability to communicate effectively, manage small components, and prioritize work efficiently is essential. No travel is required, and day or evening shifts are typical. On-the-job training is provided for skill development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precise assembly, repair, and testing of medical devices following standardized procedures.
  • Handle equipment and small components with care to ensure product integrity.
  • Maintain compliance with safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices during all operations.
  • Accurately document work activities to ensure traceability and quality control.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
  • Communicate effectively with manufacturing management and internal/external customers.
  • Support adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and regulatory standards.
  • Follow strict dress code and contamination control policies relevant to the production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in medical device assembly.
