The School of Business offers a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, a minor in Business Administration, as well as a one year MBA program. Our core curriculum provides a solid foundation in accounting, finance, economics, management, marketing and business law. Our areas of concentration (specialization) are Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing and New Venture Management.

Qualifications Lower Division Business Core Courses

Degree: Doctorate/ABD in discipline or related field preferred; specialized Masters in area or MBA and some industry experience in that area required.

Upper Division Business Core Courses

Degree: Doctorate/ABD in discipline or related field preferred; specialized Masters in area or MBA and some industry experience in that area required.

*Successful teaching experience is evidenced by the following: 1. Scores and comments in student evaluations that meet satisfactory benchmarks (in that area or a closely related area) at Humboldt or another institution. 2. Appropriate level of rigor in the delivery of the course based on syllabus, assignments, exams, and classroom visits, etc. 

Note: For a new faculty who may not have teaching experience, evidence of potential for effective teaching may be adequate for initial hiring decision.

Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience.

The salary schedule information for the Lecturer - Academic Year Classification is available based on the following ranges:

Lecturer A $5,507 - $6,677

Lecturer B $6,221 - $13,224

Lecturer C $6,825 - $14,523

Appointees are typically placed at the beginning of the range. The full-time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated in the schedules above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
