JOB DESCRIPTION:

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for fabrication, supermarket, and assembly operations. Managing the flow of material throughout the plant by performing the following duties:

Temporary Assignment: This role is a 90-120 day temporary assignment with potential for conversion to a full-time opportunity based on performance and business needs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies. Help ensure co-workers are working safely and following safety requirements.

  • Follow all applicable procedures, Standardized Work, Control Plans, and Product Specifications.

  • Assist in identifying training needs and propose ideas to improve quality metrics.

  • Learn, understand and implement AMS and continuous improvement concepts.

  • Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.

  • Follow defined clean-up times.

  • Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support resource planning.

  • Work to an established rate as defined by customer demand and Standardized Work.

  • Operate manufacturing equipment and use hand tools as required.

  • Participate in defining and improving standard work.

  • Identify problems; communicate issues to WC Leads and Supervisors.

  • Understand and use problem solving tools to improve SQDC.

  • Assist with training co-workers.

  • Support a respectful workplace.

  • Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma, GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to meet physical requirements, perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods.

  • Ability to read and understand reports and a willingness to cross train on several operations.

  • Must operate a powered industrial truck (PIT) based on operations/department need.

  • Possess communication, teamwork, problem solving, and leadership skills.

  • Dependability/punctuality.

  • Have a basic understanding of Window and Door manufacturing requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS FOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Tier III

Ability to safely lift and carry up to 60 pounds

Ability to safely push and/or pull up to 98 pounds of force

Climb stairs/steps at will

Obtain a variety of positions such as stooping, reaching, twisting etc.

Ability to grasp and pinch frequently throughout the day

Work around and near moving equipment and machinery

PAY RANGE:

$22.70 - $26.89

PROFIT SHARING: In 2026 Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $3,600 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate.
