Job Description
A Day in the Life
Receive inbound contacts (calls, emails, faxes, etc.) from providers requesting services in Radiology. Coordinate complex appointment scheduling linking consults and ancillary services required for assigned specialty services within the Munson Healthcare system. Provide patients with information on radiology testing, directions, and educational materials. Interviews callers to obtain full understanding of what information is being requested. Provide high quality customer service on every call. Promote teamwork and call center success. Responsible for satisfying the customer and maintaining the image of Munson Healthcare (MHC).
Qualifications
What's Required
**Candidates must reside in Michigan and be within a reasonable driving distance of a Munson Healthcare location.**
  • High school graduate and/or equivalent experience in related clerical employment and public contact.
  • Medical terminology or knowledge of Radiology not required, but preferred.
  • Advanced computer experience, with typing skills of 45 WPM required.
  • Previous experience in a call center environment and/or a medical office, preferred.
  • The ability to multitask, answer multiple back to back phone calls.
  • Organizational skills, effective time management, flexibility and self-motivation are essential.

Additional Information
Schedule: This is a temporary full-time position for the first five months. After that, the role will transition to PRN (as needed) status to provide coverage for call-ins and vacation relief. Primary hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a non-benefited position.
