Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Project Manager in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Project Manager will lead the delivery of complex network infrastructure and cabling projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards. This role requires a blend of operational leadership, financial oversight, and strong customer engagement skills to manage large-scale telecommunications projects.

Job Type: Permanent

Annual Salary: $115,000 to $135,000 Annually BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of various network infrastructure and cabling projects at designated sites.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, establishing key milestones and ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Identify and acquire necessary resources, revising allocations as needed to meet changing project requirements.
  • Monitor project performance using key performance indicators, forecasting, and financial tracking to protect profit margins.
  • Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient implementation and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and providing regular project updates.
  • Evaluate and manage the change order process, including cost assessments, schedule impacts, and client negotiations.
  • Review job cost postings for accuracy and completeness, facilitating timely billing and financial reporting to management.
  • Mentor and coach project team members to enhance their development and ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Implement and oversee quality control and safety programs to maintain compliance with all local and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a construction or technical field.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects with budgets exceeding $1M.
  • Extensive background in telecommunications, data centers, or structured cabling environments.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or Smartsheet.
  • Strong understanding of project tracking metrics, including earned value management and CPI/SPI.
  • Demonstrated ability to define project scopes, develop detailed task lists, and manage projects to final turnover.
  • Excellent contract negotiation and administration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be aware of OSHA safety standards and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and reach to operate office equipment.
  • May need to occasionally climb stairs and/or ladders on job sites.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and bending.
  • May need to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
  • Exposure to heights and loud noises may occur during site visits.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $115,000 to $135,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
