Job Title:
Senior Network Strategy & Compliance Engineer

What you'll do:
As a Senior Network Strategy & Compliance Engineer, you will provide expertise in a suite of technical tools and products in a given domain to ensure solutions are safe, secure, compliant, and reliable. You will identify development and support needs, as well as take on design responsibilities supporting project tasks. You will collaborate with the maintenance and management of UPS infrastructure. You will manage telecommunications, routing and switching infrastructure. You will collaborate, analyze and manage datacenter infrastructure. You will also produce various diagrams and documentation for the network organization. Additionally, you will inspect, evaluate and make recommendations for telecom contracts. As the Staff Engineer II, you will facilitate dialogue and activities to ensure team collaboration, including teams outside of your domain, and develop effective presentations and narratives for your teams.
  • Lead the strategic planning of projects as it relates to technical solution design.
  • Design and implement engineering principles aimed at reliability practices and sound recovery procedures.
  • Design transaction specific application performance monitoring metrics that can be captured and passed to business partners
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations and procedures while also ensuring compliance with IT policies, procedures, and industry standards. Develop desktop procedures when needed that others follow.
  • Provide senior-level leadership for telecommunications and ISP services including WAN, internet, and carrier Ethernet.
  • Serve as technical authority for carrier design, provisioning, and redundancy strategies.
  • Support site builds, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning activities.
  • Act as escalation point for complex telecom incidents and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain accurate circuit and carrier documentation.
  • Support telecom and ISP contract negotiations, renewals, and RFPs.
  • Interpret SLAs, service credits, escalation and termination clauses.
  • Partner with Legal, Procurement, Finance, and Vendor Management.
  • Assist with billing disputes and cost optimization efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) requirements.
  • Participate in risk and control self-assessments and issue remediation.
  • Support audits with documentation and evidence.
  • Identify and escalate technology and vendor risks.
  • Mentor Engineers and Analysts.
  • Facilitate cross-domain collaboration.
  • Deliver executive-level presentations and technical narratives.

What you'll need:
  • 7+ years of related experience IT App Support, IT Development, IT Networking, or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
    Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Additional experience with pipeline development and leveraging Azure DevOps while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced ability to see the big picture and align projects with organizational goals. Capable of leading and motivating cross-functional teams. Expertise in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges as well as skilled at identifying and mitigating risks at the project level. Proficient in governance patterns tied to intake, technical reviews and architectural compliance.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Experience with telecom contracts and SLAs.
  • Vendor negotiation and RFP participation.
  • Familiarity with GRC frameworks and audits.
  • Experience in regulated or financial services environments.
  • May require up to 25% travel
