Position Summary

The MHS Telecommunications Technician is responsible for all ongoing activities related to the availability, integrity and acquisition of telecommunications systems covering patient, provider, employee, and business information, and the coordination of services to assist users in meeting telecommunication needs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

  1. Oversees the day-to-day operation of the voice network and telecommunications systems, adhering to established standards and procedures.

  2. Interfaces with customer, staff management and vendors and coordinates moves, address changes and telephone problem resolution.

  3. Provides technical support to management and users in the design and implementation of new and expanded voice services.

  4. Installs and/or repairs communication equipment including both telephone and data.

  5. Prepares, implements and documents maintenance schedules of all communication equipment. Evaluates and justifies needs for equipment and supplies.

  6. The MHS Telecommunications Technician is responsible for all ongoing activities related to the availability, integrity and acquisition of telecommunications systems covering patient, provider, employee, and business information, and the coordination of services to assist users in meeting telecommunication needs.

  7. Supports and leads other technicians regarding all relevant telecommunication utilities and applications.

  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications.
